Ir Dr the Hon Wai-Kwok Lo is Member of the Legislative Council (LegCo) of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, representing the Engineering Functional Constituency. He is Chairman of the Public Works Subcommittee under the Finance Committee of LegCo, and is Vice Chairman of the Business and Professionals Alliance for Hong Kong. He is also Chairman of the Hong Kong Quality Assurance Agency, President of the Hong Kong Professionals and Senior Executives Association, and Chairman of the Hong Kong Green Strategy Alliance.


Dr. Lo obtained his undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering and a masters degree in industrial engineering from The University of Hong Kong. He went on to obtain a MBA from Chinese University of Hong Kong and a Doctor of Engineering degree from the University of Warwick, UK. He is a Fellow of the Hong Kong Insitution of Engineers, Institution of Engineering and Technology and Institution of Mechanical Engineers. He is also a registered professional engineer, and Honorary Fellow and Visiting professor of Vocational Training Council. And Adjunct Professor of the City University of Hong Kong and an Honorary Fellow of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.


For his immense contributions to Hong Kong society, he was awarded the Silver Bauhinia Star (SBS), Medal of Honor and Justice of the Peace distinctions.


Dr Lo is an alumnus of the HKU Engineering Faculty and of Hornell Hall.
