On July 9, 2016, Dr. Joseph Chow became the first recipient of the Hornell Hall "Philotimo" Award for his immense dedication and contribution to student life, education and culture at The University of Hong Kong (HKU). The award was presented by Dr. Dino Samartzis, Professor and Vice-Chancellor Peter Mathieson and Ryan Wong at University Lodge at HKU.
