My name is Bosco, and this summer, thanks to a nomination from Hornell Hall, I have been fortunate enough to secure an internship at Meinhardt. As a first-year student with no prior experience in the engineering consultation industry or any job experience, this opportunity has been genuinely eye-opening. I have had the chance to collaborate with colleagues in revising drawings for submission and participating in meetings with the building department. Furthermore, I have learned to use CAD software to simulate forces on structures in preparation for presentations, which has given me a more comprehensive understanding of the trade. In conclusion, this internship has proven to be an invaluable learning experience that will greatly benefit my future endeavors. I wholeheartedly thank the hall for providing me with this opportunity and highly recommend others to seize the chances offered by our hall's numerous connections to pursue internships and broaden their horizons.
