Hornell Hall provides a lot of chances for hallmates to have exposure to different industries. In the past summer, I joined the internship programme co-organized by Hornell Hall and Alliance Construction Materials Ltd., which is one of the leading concrete producing companies in Hong Kong. I learnt about machines like motors and conveyors, both their mechanical and electrical parts. I also gained experience in using CAD for engineering design, which gives me a brief idea on the work after my graduation from HKU. I would recommend it to my fellow hallmates with engineering background.
